Persistent ureaplasma, insurance about to run out

Ive had ureaplasma since 2018 and just recently started treating it. 12 days of azithromycin didnt kill it (although since leucocyte lvls finally tested negative on the 13th day so I think I just needed to be on it longer) and now my doctor has me on 14 days of doxy which I see most people say isnt very effective. Most people apparently take doxy then azithromycin and I wish my doctor did the same. My symptoms are far far worse a few days into doxy which makes me think I got BV from the antibiotics and my gyno doesnt have availability before my insurance runs out to see me. I also want to go on minocycline or another macroline antibiotic after the doxy to ensure its death but dont know how ill get tested after 4 weeks once my insurance runs out. So any advice on if youd recommend taking the 14 days by itself or if i should try to get on the other antibiotics as well, and on resources to test without insurance would be really helpful. submitted by /u/daffodil5000
