Hey all! So I came off LoLo birth control around 5 months ago. It has been a crazy time. I was on birth control for about 10 years ( did alesse for a while , tried the depo but was on LoLo the longest) The first 4.5 months were basically just waves of emotion - feeling depressed and then back to normal or super happy, etc) My body has just been trying to figure itself out and balance.
Except, the last 2 weeks have taken a major turn. The whole time I was on birth control - I had no sex drive. Like nothing. I hardly wanted to be touched or touch anyone else. I have been with my partner for the last 6 years. So he’s been kinda used to me not really having a sex drive. It’s definitely caused issues in our relationship for sure. But my partner eventually got pretty understanding. Now, my sex drive has come back in the last 2 weeks. It was incredibly strong to begin with and has now tapered off a bit but definitely still there I think. However, the first week I was absolutely obsessed with my boyfriend. Couldn’t keep my hands off of him. As the week went on, I started to feel HELLA weird and DIFFERENT. I started to feel like I want a new life. I felt like I wanted to experience a new partner and new everything. IT HAS BEEN HARD. I’ve spent the last 6 years with this guy and we’ve built a life together and now of a sudden I feel the opposite !!!!???
I’ve brought these feelings up to him because I felt super emotional and just couldn’t hide it. So it caused a huge fight because obviously he’s blindsided and overwhelmed with all these changes happening with me. I understand. But him getting mad at me definitely didn’t help that I was already feeling like I wanted a new life. I’m having such a hard time !!!!!
Has anyone experienced this before !!!??? PLEASE tell me I will get over this feeling !!!!! Like omg. I can’t break his heart over this 😣💔
