Honeymoon pill

I am going on a vacation to the beach in July and wanted to try that “honeymoon pill” aka Norethindrone Acetate because i will be having my period on that exact week. I took birth control for about a month when i was 16 and it caused mood swings so bad that i literally was manic. And since this is a ingredient of birth control, im scared it will do the same thing. If you tried this, have you experienced big mood swings?
