Should I get my IUD removed?

I’m struggling with my health and want some opinions from others on whether this is just life now or IUD related. I was on the pill from age 12-19 due to having insanely heavy periods at a young age. I stopped one day randomly and actually felt great for over a year. Got Kyleena inserted at 20 due to becoming sexually active. Initially I had no issues with the Kyleena and LOVED it. However, over the last 6 years I feel I’ve gotten worse and worse. My libido went from high to completely non existent over time, I go through spells of horrible cystic acne on my face and back, immense weight gain, etc. I’ve been semi diagnosed with PCOS (doctors say they can’t confirm but I do have insulin resistance). When raising all of my concerns, multiple doctors have told me that removing my IUD won’t fix the issues (especially sex drive which is my biggest hurdle right now as it’s affecting my relationship) and have slapped me with sex drive meds, metformin, etc which have all failed. I feel like I’ll never know if this is all IUD related or caused by PCOS, and if the IUD removal is worth it .

I’ve been strongly considering removing the IUD. I’m not ready for kids so I’d have to be careful and use protection, but I feel it’s my last hope. However, I’m afraid I’ll get it out just to be in the same spot in a years time and just at higher risk of getting pregnant. Any advice? This probably isn’t a unique situation but I’m feeling so helpless and would love to hear from others who may have felt the same. Thank you
