Removal of one ovary with hysterectomy

I am 42 and had a hysterectomy 3 years ago due to endometriosis. They were able to save one ovary, but not the other. I was told that there would be no effect whatsoever on my hormones since I still had one ovary.

But ever since, I have felt absolutely horrible. I traded my horrendous endometriosis pain for extreme fatigue, brain fog, muscle/joint pain, and acid reflux. It triggered something autoimmune in me (rheumatology is thinking lupus or Sjogren’s), my estrogen-progesterone ratio is very estrogen dominant, and my testosterone is non-existent. I’ve repeatedly asked if I’m at least peri-menopausal and my doctors say no.

Then, after quite a bit of digging, it seems like the truth is: they don’t really actually know about women with one ovary after hysterectomy because that population hasn’t really been studied at all. So I’m here to ask my fellow one ovary friends: Did you experience any major health changes that you think may have been caused by the surgery? Thank you for any responses, I’m excited to hear from people who’ve actually lived it, instead of doctors.
