I feel like I'm going insane. I (22F) got an iud inserted 2.5 years ago and everything was going smooth! No bleeding, no more horrific nights curled in fetal position on my bathroom floor. Then about 8 months ago, I started getting "phantom periods" as I call them. My boobs would hurt, I would get cranky, and sometimes I had cramps. This slowly increased in frequency. The last 2 months, but especially this month, sex started becoming super painful. Less so during the act. During intercourse, sometimes I feel discomfort, put not pain. After the fact, I have debilitating period like cramps and nausea for hours. Midol and heat help, but not fully. Last week I went to the gyno and they did a pelvic exam and said everything looked fine, my iud was correctly placed, and I'm not pregnant. Yesterday, I started spotting. I have not bled since the insertion of my iud. Any guesses?
