Period blood clot

Hi, I F(19) recently had a sexually intercourse with my boyfriend M(19) unprotected so I decided to take a Plan B pills but we did it again and decided to start taking birth control that it had delayed my period for the longest time. Days goes by, I started to have blood spotting, they were small spots but got bigger throughout the week. But just today, I had checked and there was a 2 inch long blood clot on my pads and I wanted to know if the cause of it was my birth control pills. This has never happened before but recently. Please help !! 😓
