I’m a 34-year-old mom of three having some very out-of-fucking-nowhere / debilitating women’s health issues and can’t seem to get anywhere with any doctors. Being 7 months into this with zero answers, I’m turning here to the women of Reddit to ask for any help/tips/experiences/etc. I am curious what you think based on what I’m about to share, as well as any suggestions for questions I can ask or a direction I can take with my healthcare provider to get closer to a solution.
Here’s a glimpse into what’s been happening:
*
In January of this year I went to my OBGYN after having horribly irregular periods for several months, for the first time since I started my period in 8th grade. On top of that I was having horrendous acne, night sweats, no sex drive, pelvic pain during sex, bleeding during sex, a vaginal odor and fatigue. I have a history of Endo so she gave me an ultrasound and ordered labs to test my hormone levels.
*
All labs and the ultra sound were fine. She did an internal exam and said she thought I had a bacterial infection. She said she wanted to see me back for my PAP.
*
The symptoms continued on but with discharge and sudden weight gain. I was certain it was perimenopause but she was adamant it’s stress because my labs were fine.
*
Fast forward to last month when I ended up going to get my PAP. I actually went to Planned Parenthood out of convenience and the doctor went over the symptoms. She agreed they weren’t normal and when she did the PAP she said my cervix was red, swollen and angry.
*
I waited a week for PAP results and convinced myself they would be abnormal, but sure enough nothing stuck out.
*
Planned Parenthood suggested getting another ultra sound to see, so I plan on doing that, but right now I’m basically back to ground zero.
On top of what I mentioned above, I’m also wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with the symptoms / cervix and found an answer. I’m just not sure where to go from there.
