I’m in a long term relationship. Yes, we use protection. But he has a lower libido and sometimes we go quite a bit without vaginal penetration. (Don’t worry, he always makes sure I’m “taken care of” despite that)
I’ve been noticing a pattern and for a while I thought I was insane but now I think it’s maybe not just in my head. My period has always been slightly irregular my whole life, but over the past few years it only seems to come every other month.
Coincidentally, or perhaps not so coincidentally, the “skip” months are ones where I experience no vaginal penetration, fingers or otherwise. Now typically when I do get my period it’s at the end of the month. Cue about a week and a half ago, I felt the symptoms of PMS but no blood to be seen. I usually feel these symptoms the day or two before my period starts. I shrugged it off, figured it was a skip month. The other day me and my boyfriend had sex and I was digitally penetrated. Not even an hour later, I began to bleed.
I’ve even tested this theory once before. I went two months without my period once but I knew I couldn’t be pregnant because we use multiple forms of protection and prevention. I decided to stick a finger up there and give it a good stir, for lack of a better description. Guess what? The next morning I started.
So what gives? Do I just have a very thick uterine wall?? Is this a medical condition? Anybody have any experience with this sort of thing?
