I [20F] have been having issues recently with itchiness down there and flaky skin. It’s been occurring for about a month now, i’ve gotten a vaginal swab for STDs done and it came back negative. it’s on the outside of my labia (labia majora) in two spots and nowhere else on my labia. It’s itchy and sort of flaking off skin. When i first noticed it i had just itched it a bit and ended up ripping the skin open so i have been very careful to not itch to avoid any damage to my skin. After this i thought it was just a cut and would go away on its own but it has stayed and popped up in another spot on the other side. I have used baby oil as well as lotion on it to help soothe and it helps for about 30 mins then goes back to being itchy. I have been sexually active but i noticed it a while before having sex. the patch is just white flaky skin and when itched it flakes off like dandruff and leaves the skin beneath raw and irritated. I haven’t changed anything in my diet or the way i take care of myself recently.
I have eczema elsewhere on my body so i was maybe thinking that it might’ve been a form of that? let me know your opinions or if i should be concerned about this.
