Vaginal cyst, abscess, or something worse?

Alright so I, 18F, near my perineum (between thigh and genital area) I've felt pain lately, yet the area looks completely normal. When I gently poke into it, I feel a hard painful lump that barely moves. On the other side I do not have this, so I'm quite sure it's not some mystery organ or something. I thought it might be an internal boil, so I've tried applying gentle heat, tea tree oil, etc. to bring it do a head. Nothing has worked, which has led me to believe that it's something else. My family refuses to bring me to a doctor, since they think it's something minor (and I can't drive yet), so I'm asking here, does this sound concerning? Also I have no STD's or medical conditions.
