I (F20) never use reddit but I cant seem to find an existing experience shared specific to mine. Due to this, please bear with me. I made a mistake. My boyfriend (M20) and I had unprotected this weekend, Saturday night and Sunday morning. In this time period, he finished unprotected, inside, 3x. The first time was a mistake as the condom broke, but since the condom broke I figured “screw it” and took the chance to do it unprotected, in the heat of the moment, in a bout of actual stupidity. It was consensual on both ends, and kind of my idea… Im not on birth control, but I took Plan B 2 weeks ago due to a similar scare. (It slipped a little. All other times have been fully protected + pulling out even while the condom is on) and i’m actually on my period at the moment, but its very light. I took Plan B this morning but I understand its not a failsafe. Im fully aware of the irresponsibility, and we had a long mature conversation about how this can NEVER happen again until I get on birth control, at least. I wasn’t on birth control prior because all this is relatively new to me, as I didn’t want to have actual intercourse until i’m A. In a committed relationship and B. Old enough to care for a child, myself, financially stable, etc. Does anyone have any insight to maybe how scared i should be? I live in a “blue state” in the US, and after our talk, we’re on the same page about options. I understand the damage is done but, I don’t have any women in my life to turn to for advice. I honestly don’t even know what sort of insight i’m looking for i’m just now freaking out. So is he, to be honest. An actual question I have however is does anyone recommend a birth control option that HASN’T affected your period that much? I’ll be making an appointment for options tomorrow, and i’d prefer to keep my period as a peace of mind. I just want to see what options anyone has had good experiences with.
Main Questions:
-
Could it be the more a man ejaculates inside the higher chances are of pregnancy? Even though i’m on my period and took plan B.
-
I took Plan B twice this month. Once because I was paranoid, this time because of well… This time. Is that really bad to do?
-
Any BC recommendations?
Thank you all.
