For the past two months, I’ve been dealing with bad digestion issues. Started one day when I had bad bloating, stomach pain & diarrhea. It happened before my lunch break after only having an iced coffee. Ruled it out as being the stomach bug bc it had been going around the school I worked at, and I’ve never had that reaction to coffee before. Then a few days later, my abdominal pain got worse and I kept feeling full after barely eating. Went into urgent care (no pcp at the time), Dr. said I was constipated. Sent me in for an x-ray to see how backed up I was. Turns out I was severely backed up. Most of my abdominal pain was on the right side, where the stool was. Had to try a few different laxatives to get unblocked. Finally thought I was feeling better so I went out for pizza with family. Bad idea bc the dairy messed with my stomach so bad, I was in pain all night. I started to avoid dairy & took lactaid anytime I’d consume with small amounts of dairy in it. BMs started to get better, but not fully back to normal. I continued with Miralax daily for quite a bit. Then last week, I felt super constipated again. Back to taking more Miralax daily. Last night I ate chicken & rice, felt fine after. Decided to try some Iberogast drops in some water as its supposed to help with gut issues. However after drinking it, my stomach felt bad again. Abdominal pain, currently on my left side (but most times its been on the right) I keep seeing a ton of different things pop up when I search my symptoms, and SIBO has been suggested a lot. Anyone here deal with SIBO or other digestive issues? I finally have an appointment with a PCP next week to hopefully get answers, but maybe someone here has advice or can point me in the right direction.
TLDR; symptoms: abdominal pain/bloating (worse after eating anything with dairy)-gurgling in stomach-“full” feeling-inconsistent BM issues-insomnia) possibly SIBO or other gut issue?
