Just got a wisdom tooth taken out about 2 1/2 weeks ago was put on amoxicillin to avoid infection. One week after taking the amoxicillin started getting vaginal itching and more watery discharge than usual have on and off cramping but my period is expected to come but sometimes they can be irregular due to PCOS . Went to the ER after Monistat 1 day didn’t completely take away the itching . I was sent Fluconazole and Metronidazole as they weren’t sure if it was BV or YI and had minimal discharge when they did a pelvic exam I was given the first dose of Fluconazole on Wednesday at the ER which helped but now today Friday night getting some itching again. I’ve held off on taking the Metronidazole cause I’ve read online allot of women have bad reactions and don’t feel comfortable taking an antibiotic for BV if they aren’t even sure said the results would take some time to come back but to follow up with my GYN . They did provide me a second dose of Fluconazole to take I f symptoms didn’t fully go away which I plan on doing tomorrow . Can’t see my GYN till 09/22 so in about 2 weeks as I’m now out of town . Has anyone had any similar experiences? Would you take the Metronidazole? Could it be a YI even though my discharge is watery with minimal itching mostly at night ? Or does it sound more like BV
