Hi girls. I wanted to share something I recently discovered. Most of the time, my period has been pretty regular — I get it every month and I don’t usually have weeks of delay or anything like that. My last period was on July 25th, which means my ovulation week was approximately August 6–10. On August 20th I had some routine labs done, and by that time I was already about 6 days away from getting my period again, so I was in my luteal phase.
In the hormone panel, my estradiol came back at 293.6 (high), FSH at 13.4 (high), LH at 108.3 (extremely high), progesterone at 0.9 (low), and prolactin at 25.4, so I’m not pregnant. Now it’s September 1st and my period still hasn’t arrived, which would make sense because my ovulation day was very late too.
My general doctor told me that this month I probably ovulated late and that the labs caught it, but that they need to be repeated, and if they come back abnormal again, they should check my pituitary. Has this ever happened to any of you? I have an appointment with my gynecologist on the 9th to see what she would recommend to do.
