HPV/ Infection from (Contaminated) Transvaginal Ultrasound?

I'm getting the ultrasound tomorrow and I'm a bit paranoid about cross-contamination from the "wand". I've had it done a few times before and I always had spotting for a few days after the procedure, and now I made the mistake of asking chatgpt about rates of infection etc. Does anyone have any experience getting infection after TVUS? How exactly do they sterilize/sanitize those wands? 😭
