I'm a 17 year old who just found out about something called endometriosis and wondering if I have it. My mother has diagnosed PCOS, but I never gave the thought that it might have passed on too much concern because I didn't think the symptoms lined up. However, since I got my period at 11 years old, I have experienced occasionally agonizing cramps that I've been told is normal, but the symptoms have been severe, especially during my current cycle which prompted me to start asking questions. I take paracetamol and/or naprogesic depending on what I can afford, but it's always a gamble on whether either work or not and it's never a reliable pain reliver. Sometimes it eliminates the problem, other times I throw up the pills 3 times in a row before I give up and just miserably wait for the pain to pass. This time, I passed out from the pain, and after was sweating and shaking and all hot and flushed. Is this normal, or is this worth worrying about? I'm afraid of being dismissed by family and doctors, especially if it turns out I'm just being dramatic. To any women at all who have any advice or can relate, please let me know!
