I had an ovarian torsion when I was 17 and follow up ultrasounds showed I had polycystic ovaries. First GP just said you might have it but you don’t look like you have it cause you aren’t overweight or have visual body hair. Another GP did blood tests and told me I have it and then a gynaecologist told me I don’t have it looking at the same results. I was also told it’s hard to diagnose at that age. Now I am 19 and have experienced sudden weight gain with no lifestyle changes (5kg over a few months), my periods are very spaced out (about 6 weeks apart), I experience fatigue, have small uni brow and some hair on upper lip, I have lots of hair falling out, and i’m always hungry/craving sugar (snacking). Is it worth going to someone else now I’m older?
